In early 2026 we updated how HARAHARA Inc. presents itself: from “production agency” to “comprehensive entertainment & IP creation company.” This isn’t a marketing tweak. It reflects a real shift in what the company has been doing for the past two years.
Why the change
For most of our history we ran SNS marketing and video production for some of Japan’s most-followed brands. The work delivered. But it kept us in the seat of the executor — building campaigns based on others’ briefs.
As our team built up internal expertise, we noticed something: the patterns that drove our clients’ channels to viral success were the same patterns we’d been quietly using on our own experiments. What started as side projects — THE GAVEL, Shukatsu NEO — kept racking up tens and hundreds of millions of views.
Once internal IP was outperforming much of our client work, the agency framing was undercounting what HARAHARA had actually become.
What’s different now
Three concrete shifts you’ll see across the site:
1. Original IP is a primary product line
THE GAVEL (auction-style business pitch contest), Shukatsu NEO (170M+ views), Korean Location Beauty Audition, the vertical-short idol audition documentary, and the YouTube Artisan Channel for global audiences — these are not side projects. They are HARAHARA’s most visible work and our strongest evidence that we know what wins on each platform.
For sponsors, format partners, and broadcasters, our Original IP & Programs page is the new front door.
2. Two new service lines: AI Creative Agency & Professional Photo Shooting
Existing clients have asked for both for years. Our Services page now reflects four formal offerings:
- SNS Marketing & Video Production
- AI Creative Agency (video, music, image generation)
- Professional Corporate Photo Shooting
- HARAHARA Creator Academy (HCA)
3. HCA expanded into a public school
HARAHARA Creator Academy — our internal training arm — is now open to outside enrollees. Subsidy-eligible for corporates, evening cohorts for working professionals, direct hiring path for top graduates.
What stays the same
The mission hasn’t moved: 「光の当たらないところに光を当てる」— light up the unseen. Local stories, creator talent, social problems that don’t fit the trending feed. The pivot is about giving that mission better infrastructure to scale.
What’s next
Over the coming months you’ll see new program launches, a redesigned recruit pipeline (we’re actively hiring TikTok directors, sales, secretaries, and admins — see Careers), new curriculum tracks at HCA, and partnerships we’ll announce as they close.
If you’re a sponsor, format partner, or potential client — we’d love to talk.
If you’re considering a career change into creator work — see Careers or our school.
The work we’ve done so far is what you can see. The work we’re about to do is what we built HARAHARA to do.
